Tokyo Marui makes this cartridge holder for their under-18 airsoft revolvers... combined with some steel pachinko balls, we have a very nice shotcounter for Deadlands.
I imagine a few of these, enough for each PC at least, and a pot for the spent shots. Another option might be colored marbles allowing each players ammo to be tracked individually.
